About Highley Colliery Band

We endeavour to promote brass band music and encourage participation in music for both young and old!

Highley Colliery Band is a social group as well as a musical organisation. We are proud of our friendly atmosphere and offer a warm welcome to visitors or newcomers. We have members of all ages, young and old. The younger members especially are encouraged to take their music grades, and we do all we can to enhance every players musical ability and enjoyment. We have a varied social calendar including days out to the seaside, going to concerts, horse race nights, and even sponsored walks. The band performs at fetes, parks and concerts throughout the country.

The village of Highley is situated in the picturesque Severn Valley, approximately seven miles from Bridgnorth in rural south Shropshire.

The band rehearses at the Bache Arms Public House Highley, twice weekly:

7.30pm on Wednesdays
7.00pm on Sundays

For bookings, information on joining the band and for any further information you can contact us via the details on the Contact page.

Special thanks to Anne and Dave of the Bache Arms Public House, Highley.
