A Big Thank You from Highley Colliery Band

The festivities are over for another year and band members can relax for a while after another busy December. Apart from joining the Much Wenlock Male Voice Choir in a Christmas concert at Highley's Severn Centre, the band spent five evenings entertaining the crowds at the Black Country Living Museum, Dudley.

The band played carols in Kidderminster on December the 10th and raised £179.92. In Bridgnorth on the 17th of December £233.71 was raised and in Ludlow on Christmas Eve, £296.79 was collected. All funds raised through these collections are used to provide music and equipment for the main band and the introductory band.

The band and its members would like to thank everyone for their support over the past year. This year's events calendar will be updated shortly.

A Few Changes

You may have noticed the layout of our Home page has changed ever so slightly. We have implemented a content management system that makes it much easier for us to add new articles and it keeps things tidier too. Further refinements such as archiving and an RSS feed will be added in the not so distant future.
